Another Audible Teaser

For you audiophiles out there, be aware that Caldera 3 could be released by Audible any day now. I pushed the button and it’s in their hands. I can also tell you that Johnny Mack is constantly honing his skills as a narrator and continues to perfect his craft. I think you’ll be pretty pleased with this one.

Since C3 is soon to be released, I’ll be running a promo for Caldera 2 on AudioBook Boom. Those of you who are interested in swapping a free audio code for a review, you might look for C2 to show up next week on their site.

That is all for now.
Carry on.

Caldera 5 is LIVE!

If you didn’t take advantage of the pre-order option, you may not be aware that 5 went live last night.

It’s been less than 24 hours and…I’m already being asked for 6! It makes me laugh and cringe at the same time. I wish I could write these as fast as people read them. But alas, I can’t. However…we MAY be in luck. Kind of. Caldera 6 MAY have already been written and MAY be in the hands of the editor as you read this. I say ‘MAY’ because from here on, everything is out of my hands. I MAY have started 7, but fighting this horrible case of MAN FLU that my daughter brought home has really put a damper on things.

Anywho, I am thrilled to say that the plan is to get Flags of the Forgotten out mid-June. Hopefully in time for my birthday!! (hint-hint to the powers that be) If you’ve been hiding under a rock, then let me tell you, Flags is my crossover baby. I’ve been writing in the horror/urban fantasy genre for so long but I always wanted to try my hand at something along the lines of a political thriller. This one isn’t so much ‘political’ but the betas who test drove it said that it definitely measures up in the thriller department, so I’m running with it!

Okay, enough shameless self promotion.

Here’s a teaser for those who can’t wait for Caldera 6. It’s just the cover, but at least now you’ll know what to look for when the time comes.

Caldera 6

Thank you to all of my new readers for the feedback and the positive messages. You can’t know how much it fans my internal flame and helps drive me to keep pushing on.

Good luck and happy reading!

Heath

Wee Bit of an Update

Wee Bit of an Update

Fall is almost upon us and with the change in weather comes a bit of a change in the lineup. Fans have enjoyed Caldera for some time now, but they kept wanting more. I’ve received tons of emails from people asking if there would be a followup to the original story or even the possibility of it becoming a series (Rosa Thomas McBroom is responsible for about 68.3% of those requests). Well, to those of you who wanted a return to the viral zombie story, good news is on the horizon.

Caldera - Heath Stallcup

Caldera  was a bit long in the tooth and it was suggested that it be split into two separate stories. Come October, it will be…and volume 3 will be joining it. And if I can stay focused long enough, volume four will be as well.  I have to admit, it’s been a bit exciting jumping back into this world. Some of the characters were sorely missed and some of the new characters you will love to hate.

As usual, Jeffrey Kosh stepped up and delivered exactly what I wanted to wrap these stories in.

Caldera 2

So far, the decided favorite is #3.

Caldera 3

Yeah, I love that blue! It gave me chills the first time I saw it, so I know he knocked that one out of the park.

Stay tuned to find out what else we can expect this Fall!
