More Freebie Stuff

Just a quick announcement to let folks know that the first of the Monster Squad series, Return of the Phoenix, is now FREE in all electronic markets.

I made the adjustment the other day through Smashwords and waited for it to populate through to iBooks and Kobo and whatever other major channels they feed before I approached Amazon to ask that they price match it. Apparently somebody beat me to it. Someone requested it, Amazon did it and on the 19th over 500 copies were given away. I nearly fell over when I read that.

No fanfare, no announcement, no warning…no telling anybody. Somehow, word spread and electronic copies flew off the virtual shelves.

And, as always, I have a standing offer at my Facebook author page for anybody who leaves a review…good, bad or indifferent, as long as it’s honest. Contact me with an address and I’ll send them their choice of a Monster Squad bumper sticker or wrist band!

Freebies and Xmas Gifts to You

Caldera has kicked off to a great start. It’s been well received so far, picking up new readers along the way and generating some great feedback from established fans. I couldn’t have asked for a better reception!

Along with the excellent feedback, Lisa Vasquez (the cover artist and my new promotional…person? Not sure what to call her besides ‘awesome’!) is running contests on my FB author page. If you haven’t already gone by and ‘liked’ my page, please do so. Allow notifications (there really aren’t that many) so that when new contests come up, you’ll be the next to know. Here’s the link:

Currently, if you read Caldera and leave a review anywhere (or everywhere) and then link it back to her post, you’ll be entered for a chance to win an autographed paperback! Add it to your current collection or give it as a Christmas gift. The contest should end with plenty of time to be received for the holidays.

Also, as an early Christmas gift to you, the reader…how would you like to get an awesome collection from some of the most talented horror authors of modern time? I’m talking about the Hallowed Horror Collection box set for absolutely FREE! You heard me right…FREE!

From December 15 through the 19th this box set if our gift to you! It’s currently on sale for just 99 cents. As if that isn’t bargain enough, how can anyone turn down FREE?

Are you excited yet? I am!  I love, love, LOVE this time of year! It’s all about giving back and between the contests and the box set give away, I’m stoked!

Now, I just need to put my head towards a Monster Squad contest… “Oh LISA!!” 😉

FREE!! And If You Act Now, We’ll Include…

Did the title grab your attention?  It’s supposed to.  Everybody likes free. Don’t they? I do.  Usually. Unless it’s herpes. Nobody wants herpes, even if it’s free.

But no, I’m not offering anything like that.  What I am offering is a handful of free download codes for the audible version of Whispers! You can save your $24.95 and get it absolutely free…with a slight catch.  Aha! There it is! You knew there would be a catch, didn’t you? Yeah, there always is.  No, I don’t want you to sign up for some revolving charge on your credit card or force you to donate a kidney to the ice water challenge.  No, all I ask in return is an HONEST review once you’ve finished.

There it is.  That’s it.  An honest review.  A high price, I know, but still…

I’m only going to start with a small handful of freebies.  Say…five? Depending on the response, I may add more.  BUT, the first five to take me up on the offer will have the option of getting codes for Monster Squad 1 and the soon to be released Monster Squad 2.  And yes…future releases. Consider yourselves to be the ‘core’ reviewers, if you will. You can get my audible books as fast as I get the codes for the sky high price of an honest review.  And by ‘honest’ I mean just that.  I’m not looking for 5 stars on all aspects…I mean HONEST. If something about the story doesn’t measure up, report it.  If something about the narrator grates…say so.

That’s it. That’s the offer.

And of the first five to take me up on the offer…who knows?  There may be an internal contest of sorts in the near future. Maybe a drawing or…who knows. So there ya go.  The offer is made. If you want to take part in it, feel free to contact me.  You can reach me at Facebook or just email me.  As always, it’s and I look forward to seeing who may be interested.

Until next time…

My Plea To You

I’ll try to keep this short and sweet.  Nobody likes to read through tons of unnecessary verbage so…

If you have read ANY of my published works and could take a few moments from your busy schedule to leave a review at Amazon, I would be eternally grateful.  You know (especially if you’ve read through my mind spew here) how important reviews are.  I also know how valuable your time is.  That is why I hate to ask, but I feel compelled to at the same time.

I’ve put up a standing offer at my Facebook author page for those who leave an honest review and then contact me with their address, I will send them their choice of either a silicon wrist band or some bumper stickers.

I know it’s not much, but it’s my way of saying thank you for taking your time to do something to help me. Especially at this time of year.  I realize that the school year is winding down, summer ball is gearing up, kids are excited for summer, parents are trying to make plans for summer vacations, etc.  It’s a busy time.  Taking time from your busy schedule for something like this just means that much more.

For those who can, thank you.

Over 550 Entered, Two Winners!

I’ll admit, I made a mistake in setting up the giveaway.  I thought it was supposed to end tonight at midnight.  It ended last night and I received word from Goodreads that they had already randomly selected the winners.

Over 550 people had entered the giveaway and two lucky ladies, one from KY and one from TN were the winners.  Goodreads stated that I had 4-6 weeks to arrange delivery, but to me, that just isn’t right.  If you win something, you want it right away.  I made sure both went out first thing today.

I doubt seriously that either follow my blog, but if they happen to stumble across this, be sure to check the book when you receive it.  There may be a bumper sticker shoved in between the pages.

I don’t want to give out any information on either winner, but allow me to say, “Congratulations Hannah and Shirley!” I sincerely hope you enjoy the book and if you do, please, tell your friends!
