MS4 Audio Almost Here

Just a heads up to those of you who follow my blog…MS4 Blood Apocalypse is nearly ready.

Jack Voorhies of Falcon Sound finished up the audio files and I approved them just days ago. As soon as Audible does their technical checks, it should be available. Trust me, as soon as it’s ready I’ll announce it.

For those who have followed the audible stories, I wanted to let you know that Jack won’t be available to narrate the next saga. I don’t have a great amount of details, but from what I understand, he is transferring to another state. Falcon Sound has a full stable of able bodied narrators, so finding somebody else to become the voice of the Monster Squad won’t be difficult for them…they’ll just have really big shoes to fill. Finding somebody with the vast array of voices that Jack brings to the table won’t be easy.

Yes, if you can’t tell it by now…Jack, you will be missed. I wish you nothing but the best in the future, my friend.

Jack Voorhies

Stay tuned and I’ll post links when MS4 is ready. As always, I’m looking for people willing to listen and give an honest review. If you’re interested in stepping up and reviewing any of my audible books, send me an email. I’ll get you a free copy of whichever you want.

MS3 Audio Now Available

Yes, if you follow my Facebook site, then you already know this.  I’m slipping. Sorry.  I probably should have come here first.  Unfortunately, family matters have kept me from attending to things like I should. But I’m here now and the link shall follow!

If you are a fan of Jack Voorhies and his many vocal talents, then you will be thrilled to hear that MS3 Coalition of the Damned is now available on Audible! Jack and the crew at Falcon Sound has done yet another superb job of bringing the characters to life and I think you’ll be every bit as thrilled with this one as you have been with their previous efforts. Some of you weren’t huge fans of the howling between scenes (I picked that, by the way and really happened to like it) so they chose to go with something a bit more subtle. Maybe it will be more to your liking.

Anywho…on to the links:

At Amazon:

And directly from Audible:

As always, if you are in the business of reviewing audible books, please feel free to contact me to make arrangements for a free download code for any of the Monster Squad books on audio in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Thank you and enjoy!

Just a Little Catch Up

Yeah, I’ve been slacking off lately.  I know it.  I mean, I really haven’t, but I have been.  I haven’t updated this site in a while so now I have to play catch up.  I need to add Corson to the Works page, provide links for folks, post up the new covers for existing works and try to explain what all has been happening.

For starters, Corson was released late.  Big surprise, right? 🙂

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in this biz, dates are really more like suggestions.  We can ‘anticipate’ a release at approximately this date and it could be earlier, but will most likely be later. Hey, it’s hit and miss and I’m finding out the hard way just how tough it is to ‘meet the requirements’ of everybody that is involved.  But the story is now out and the real work begins…letting people know about it.

The book should most probably have been retitled.  Who in their right mind is going to read that title and think, “Ooh, I gotta have this one!”??  Right? Nobody.  But it was the title that came to mind when I penned it and it grew on me. Only time will tell if it will sink or swim.  Since I’m partial to the story, I really hope it swims.

Meanwhile, MS8 is still stalled about halfway through. Perhaps I’ve burned myself out on the story.  My editor, Todd, suggested stepping away, working on any of the numerous other projects I have partially completed and coming back to it later.  I think that is sage advice. Sometimes you need to just push back and clear your head.  You’d think that taking more than a month off would help with it, but so far, it hasn’t.  Please don’t think that I’ve just been sitting on my laurels, doing nothing though. I’ve been busy the last week or so trying to get files updated and formatted and ready for republication.

Also, MS3, Coalition of the Damned is about to be released on Audible.  Once again, Jack Voorhies of Falcon Sound has done an awesome job bringing the characters to life.  I wish I could do him justice and get the momentum going behind these but it seems like the harder I push, the slower they move. I pray that I’ll discover that holy grail of promotion that will get these moving in the right direction.

So, that’s a portion of what has been going on.  As soon as MS3 is out on audio, I’ll come back and post a link to it. Until then, keep your heads down, cover your six and check your closet before turning off the lights. You never know what may be lurking in there. 😉

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

Okay, I know it’s a stupid title to announce the first of the Monster Squad books to be produced as an audiobook, but at the time, I thought it was cute.

I waited to announce the audible release of Return of the Phoenix because of my commitment to the Summer of Zombie Blog Tour 2014.  My date for SZBT was the 17th and I didn’t want to overshadow the author being highlighted.  If you didn’t get a chance to check out that interview, scroll down and give it a read.  Julianne Snow was the guest of honor and she’s a truly awesome little gal.  See?  Already I digress…I came here to announce the audio release and almost got sidetracked by her awesomeness!

Here’s the spiel.  Falcon Sound Studio’s Jack Voorhies threw himself into this production and it shows.  Talking with Jack, he’s told me how he got excited doing this project.  He really thinks that the premise has potential (and coming from him, that means something).  But first we have to get the word out about Phoenix, drive the interest up and get some reviews.

Keep an eye out for contests in the near future for free downloads of Phoenix and if you happen to run an audiobook review blog or website, feel free to contact me.

In the meantime, if you just can’t wait…here’s the link:
