Nick 2 is Live!

If you liked the first one then you should love the sequel!

Everyone worked overtime to get this out in time for the holiday season and I would be remiss if I didn’t offer a quick shout out to three special ladies that made it happen.

My cousin Terri Stalcup who is a mad-fast beta reader. Lucky for me she holds no punches and does a hella job of keeping me on track and along the straight and narrow.

Sheila Shedd who dropped everything to edit the messes I send her. She can really polish a turd and make it shine!

Tracy Tufo who formats and publishes these polished turds, then works her magic to spread the word to people in every corner of the known world.

Without these three wonder women I couldn’t have done it in time for the holidays! Thank you all SO MUCH!

“How can the same shit happen to the same guy twice?” – John McClane, Die Hard 2

When CPO Chris “Nick” Nichols retires to a quiet mountain town in Montana, all he wants is the peace and solitude he earned after a lifetime of service. Instead, his dream home comes with one unexpected clause: he must take up the mantle of the previous owner and serve as the town’s beloved Santa every Christmas.

Nick begrudgingly agrees—but his tranquil retirement unravels fast.

He never planned on falling for the local girl.
He sure as hell didn’t want to become Santa Claus.
He had zero interest in being a role model for an orphaned teen.
And he definitely didn’t want to square off against the Mountain Mafia.

But Fate is a fickle bitch, and Nick soon finds himself neck-deep in a blood feud that hits far too close to home.

Ho-Ho-Holy hell… a holiday heart warmer dipped in adrenaline and dusted with supernatural sparks, this is what happens when Die Hard crashes a Hallmark Christmas-and Santa’s packing more than toys.

I hope you enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Merry Christmas!! And here’s wishing you and yours a lifetime of love, luck, and bacon!

Quick Question For My Readers

Quick Question For My Readers

Look at me, tossing up another blog post and not waiting months (or even years) to do it.
But seriously, I do have a quick question for y’all.

Has anybody read Ain’t No Saint Nick?
I ask because I really loved that story. To me, it really was Hallmark Christmas meets Die Hard. The few reviews it got tells me it was well received, but…there aren’t many. I know, I know, people prefer series. Or at least a sequel.

Well…what if I told you that there may be another Nick story coming? What if I told you that as we speak, my editor is doing her level best to get it polished so you can have it for Christmas? Any takers? Would that stimulate folks into maybe putting up reviews for either of them? What if I could promise you that you’d make it to Santa’s Good List if you put up a review? I mean, I’m not saying for certain that I could get you off the naughty list, because let’s face it, some of us deserve being on that list. But I bet it would go a long way towards getting your name shifted OFF the Naughty List and onto the Good List if you left reviews. Santa knows how important reviews are to authors.
I’m just saying.

I can’t make any promises, but I can tell you that we’re all working feverishly to get this thing polished up in time.

I’ll let you know up front: the story didn’t exactly go the way I intended. But, I’ve also found over the years, that the story tells itself. I just have to let go and type it.
I guess we’ll just have to see how it’s received.
Anywho, here’s hoping you all had the greatest of Turkey Day celebrations. I also hope you all have the merriest of Christmases or Kwanza or Hanukkah or Yule or…yeah, you get the picture.

Love you guys!
Here’s wishing you lots of love, luck and bacon in the coming new year!
Heath
